Call for Singers

Is your dream to sing in front of an audience of hundreds of people? Here’s your chance to sing on stage for your fellow CNS’ to close out the 2020 NACNS Annual Conference and 25th Anniversary celebration! To be considered, please submit an audition video, details below.
The song “Never Enough” will be performed on March 13th during the closing session, at 10:45 a.m. If you are selected, you must be available for rehearsal(s) in the days preceding the performance. You may be asked to participate in 1-2 prep calls.
Rules for submission:
  • Upload a video to YouTube or Vimeo singing “Never Enough”, from The Greatest Showman; Audio quality is most important so, please try to find the best environment for recording your submission.
  • You may use the karaoke version of the song (available on YouTube, Spotify, etc.) to accompany your submission, or you may sing acapella.
  • In your video, please include your name, where you are from, and how long you’ve been singing.
Submissions will be reviewed by the Ceremonies Committee and entrants will be notified of the committee’s decision by Monday, February 10th.

Keynote Speakers

Wednesday, March 11

Mary Fran Tracy, PhD, RN, APRN, CNS, FAAN is an Associate Professor/Nurse Scientist at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing. She holds a BSN from the University of Iowa, and both an MS and PhD from the University of Minnesota. Since 1999, Mary has been an active member of NACNS, earning the Brenda Lyon Leadership Award in 2014. She was also recently inducted as a fellow for NACNS.  Her research experience and interests span multiple areas including, symptom management in critically ill patients; innovative interventions to improve the care of critically ill and mechanically ventilated patients.

“Transforming Through the Strength of Our Stories” – 11:00 am

Katherine Brown-Saltzman, MA, RN is a Registered Nurse in the state of California. She received her B.S.N. from Marquette University and her M.A. from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. Since 1993, she has served as the co-founder and president of Ethics of Caring, a non-profit nursing organization promoting nursing ethics education. Since 1975, her clinical practice has been in end of life care; now focusing on ethics and her area of research is centered on nurses’ early indicators in ethical issues.
