Webinar: Pain Assessment in the Non-verbal Adult

Description: A case study approach will be used to recommend evidence based approaches to non-verbal pain assessment in adults.  Attendance at the entire live activity or completion of all the recorded video and a completed evaluation are required to obtain nursing professional development credit.

Speaker: Jeannette (Jeannie) Meyer, RN, MSN, CCRN-K, CCNS, PCCN-K, ACHPN

Jeannie Meyer started her healthcare career as a Nurse’s Aide doing long-term care, then as a LVN in Critical Care. She obtained her BSN and MSN from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist since 2000. She holds national certifications in Critical Care, Progressive Care and Palliative Care. She has presented at the state and national levels on multiple Palliative Care topics, including presentations for NACNS and AACN. Jeannie is currently the Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care at UCLA Health, Past President of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses’ Association Los Angeles Regional Chapter (HPNA-LARC) and Past President of the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CACNS). She previously served on the Board of Directors for NACNS.
