JUDGING CRITERIA:

• 0= Poor/Absent: fewer than half of required elements present
• 1= Average: most required elements present
• 2= Excellent: all required elements fully present and clearly demonstrated

1. Title

Criteria
(1) clear, (2) concise, (3) reflects poster content, and (4) draws interest.

Scoring:
0 = 0–1 criterion present
1 = 2–3 criteria present
2 = All 4 criteria present

2. Format & Visual Design

Criteria:
(1) adequate whitespace, (2) logical layout, (3) readable font, (4) consistent formatting, and (5) visuals support content.

Scoring:
0 = 0–2 criteria present
1 = 3 criteria present
2 = All 5 criteria present

3. Grammar & Spelling

Criteria:
(1) correct spelling, (2) grammar, (3) proper use of abbreviations, and (4) punctuation.

Scoring:
0 = >2 errors
1 = 1–2 errors
2 = No errors

4. Background: (1) The problem is clearly identified and stated, (2) significance of the problem to the CNS role and/or nursing clinical practice is clear.

Criteria:
Problem is clearly identified and significance to CNS/nursing is stated.

Scoring:
0 (No)= unclear problem and significance

1 (Yes)= problem and significance clearly stated

5. Purpose/Objective 

Criteria:
Purpose/objective clearly describes project and aligns with methods.

Scoring:
0 (No)= Purpose unclear or absent
1 (Yes)= Purpose present and clear

6. Methods:

Criteria:
Research: design, subjects, setting, variables, intervention.
Non‑research: description, timeline, data collection.

Scoring:
0 = <50% elements present
1 = Most elements present
2 = All elements present

7. Evaluation/Outcome 

Criteria:
Results clear; pre/post data; visuals; stats if applicable.

Scoring:
0 = <50% elements present
1 = Most elements present
2 = All elements present

8. Discussion/Implications

Criteria:
(1) Lessons learned, (2) limitations, (3) implications, and (4) recommendations.

Scoring:
0 = 0–2 criteria present
1 = 3 e criteria present
2 = All 4 criteria present

9. Level of Impact

Scoring:

1 = One unit
2 = Multiple Units
3 = One hospital
4 = Multiple hospitals
