The 2025 NACNS Conference brought clinical nurse specialists together from March 10–13 in Boston, MA, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Attendees shared delicious meals, participated in engaging learning experiences, built new connections, and celebrated the role that unites us all.
Record In-Person Attendance and Positive Feedback
This year’s conference set a new record, with 554 in-person attendees representing 265 organizations and schools across 44 states. While the full results from our post-event survey are still coming in, early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:

Inspiring Speakers and Unforgettable Moments
The conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers and sessions who built on the “Innovate” theme. Opening keynote speaker Cynthia Bautista, PhD, APRN, FNCNS, FCNS, energized the crowd with a lively presentation on the power of humor in nursing — complete with a clown costume and a marshmallow fight that had the audience laughing and engaged.
Closing keynote speaker Elizabeth Bridges, PhD, RN, CCNS, FCCM, FAAN, delivered a powerful, heartfelt talk about her experiences as a military nurse. She shared stories of innovative projects aimed at improving survival rates for service members injured in the line of duty, leaving the audience inspired.
Celebrations, Awards, and Exploring Boston
The Gala Celebration & CNSI Induction Dinner was a highlight, where attendees showed off their dance moves and outstanding CNSs were recognized for their contributions to the profession.
Beyond the conference sessions, attendees enjoyed a tour of historic Fenway Park — known as America’s Most Beloved Ballpark — and took in breathtaking views of Boston from the Prudential Center.
