Clinical Nurse Specialist Preceptor Course

Developing Your Skills as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Preceptor will acquaint you with the role of clinical preceptor, working with faculty and graduate students at a school of nursing.  The course is recommended for the CNS interested in becoming a CNS student preceptor or for the CNS seeking content to update or expand their preceptor knowledge and skills.

 

The self-paced format allows you to enroll and proceed through the content on your own schedule and is designed to be completed without instructor facilitation or discussion. The course is composed of several modules and a multiple choice post-test. 

            Modules include:

·         CNS Preceptor Role Definition

·         Clinical Experiential Learning

·         Principles of Adult Learning

·         Developing Practice Competencies

·         Managing Clinical Experiences

·         Evaluation of Student Performance

 

 

Upon completion of the post-test with a score of 80 percent or greater and the course evaluation you will receive 5.75 contact hours.
