Current initiatives include:

• Continued development with ANCC of the exam to test core CNS competencies
• Development of CNS education standards
• Finalization of CNS doctoral competencies
• Participation in the development of APRN and LACE (licensure, accreditation, certification, education) structure to guide future APRN regulation
